Cultivating Love and Peace in Your Daily Life

Personality and Peace

When I first learned about personality types and discovered that I was a strong green — an analytic — it was a big aha! moment for me.

All my life, I had asked why. And now I understand: asking questions and seeking knowledge is part of the analytic’s love language. For me, knowledge has always felt like a gift of love.

Looking back, I realize I was often quick to offer suggestions — but many times, people weren’t really asking for them. To my surprise, I sometimes ended up irritating or even insulting others with what I thought were helpful ideas.

Yet deep down, I know my heart was acting out of love.

Today, my suggestion — offered in love — is this: take time each day to sit in silence and focus on love and peace (and hopefully the love of Christ). Let your actions flow from that center, in ways that uplift and nurture, rather than pull down or diminish.

The truth can be difficult to express and sometimes even harder to accept. But when approached through the lens of peace, it can always be received with greater grace.
